Dear US Trager Association Members,

We are thrilled to announce the new collaborative relationship between the U.S. Trager Association and The International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). USTA is now an Affiliated Professional Organization of ISMETA.

ISMETA was created in 1988 by a group of practitioners and training program directors. Our core mission is to strengthen the Profession of Somatic Movement Education and Therapy. We believe that by joining together as individuals and organizations we strengthen our credibility as a profession and gain the recognition and respect for our important work. This new association between ISMETA and USTA allows us to work more closely in support of all our members.

As movement is being more widely recognized as an important aspect of our lives as humans and more and more people are wanting to teach and be identified as movement educators and therapists, we believe that now more than ever is a time for us to stand together and distinguish ourselves in the field of Somatic Movement Education and Therapy. ISMETA invites all USTA members to become special joint members of USTA/ISMETA.
