Happy Fall everyone!

It’s beautiful here in New England right now. This time of year always brings awareness of the beautiful green trees transforming to a gorgeous array of colors, and then having to let go of its leaves that no longer serves the tree. Still standing tall with deep roots, the tree trusts the process of whatever comes next.

As your new USTA President,  I would like to say thank you to all of you for holding Milton’s vision of creating Peace, one person at a time. We have known for a long time that those unproductive leaves have had to be shed. Your current board members are all focused and taking great actions to support instructors, class organizers and to inspire new students to come to a class. We all know that once they feel the work, they’ll be hooked-in!

I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the past board members who have just stepped down; Barbara Mason and Stephanie Artz. It is a huge undertaking to take on a volunteer organization like this and we are all so grateful for the time, attention and commitment that they have given for their years on the board.

Joe Rodin, the current past president is staying on the board and I would like to comment on the respect I have gained for him from listening to the many conversations and challenges with all the facets and complexities of this organization. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Joe during our Tutor training together. I have gained another Trager Brother! His way of communicating and understanding issues is intriguing. I have learned so much, thank you Joe for all you do! I have so much to keep learning and I know this board will support, encourage and listen to one another and the members to really create the growth and prosperous mentality it so desperately needs.

Welcome to Elisabeth Contadino who is replacing Barbara Mason as the Great Lakes Trager® Association (GLTA) Regional Representative. The USTA Board is working very hard at delivering the change needed for Milton’s work to continue and flourish. This board is ready and willing to dig deep to offer an easier path to support the students, professional members, Instructors and future Trager Practitioners!

I cannot say any more without mentioning my excitement about the hugely successful Conference at Pearlstone in September. I was able to be there for a full week! Six tutor trainees are well on their way to becoming Tutors! The Education Conference was full of inspiration, and the conference itself was a huge hit. Thank you to everyone involved in this fabulous week. I love being able to say that when I go away for any Trager event, that it was not work, but “a vacation”!

A very special THANK YOU goes out to Madelana Ferrara and the conference team. We all hope you know how much your hard work and dedication is appreciated!

Stephani-Lila Murdoch organized the silent auction and brought jade plants for all conference attendees. She said the plants stemmed from a plant outside a clinic where Milton worked! A tangible gift to reflect the roots of Milton’s beginnings with new energy of growth and prosperity! In Feng Shui, a jade plant is commonly placed in the wealth and prosperity area of the home. That’s where I’m putting mine!

Please feel free to contact me, or any of us with thoughts, questions, concerns as we take on this challenge! You’ll find contact access to each region’s Rep under CONTACT on the website. I highly suggest that you keep checking out the website as it keeps getting better! Fernando Rojas and Renae Davies are continually updating or adding new information!

Thank you, and I look forward to moving Trager forward with you!
