The United States Trager Association is registered in Ohio as a non-profit membership corporation which represents and supports, within the United States, Trager® psychophysical integration and Mentastics® movement education, the innovative approach to movement education developed by Milton Trager, M.D. and generally referred to as The Trager® Approach.

The United States Trager Association (USTA) is a 501-c-6 membership organization. It is the national organization to support our students and practitioners in the USA and a few other member nations.

The United States Trager Association is a member of Trager® International, a worldwide international organization dedicated to the growth and support of The Trager® Approach.

The USTA expands the use and recognition of The Trager® Approach and Mentastics® movement education by supporting the development, education, and practice of its members.

To achieve our mission, USTA members:

  • Protect the integrity of The Trager® Approach by maintaining, supporting and enforcing the professional standards of practice and instruction;

  • Coordinate and regulate teaching of The Trager® Approach and Mentastics® movement education;

  • Embrace continuing professional development and personal growth;

  • Support the growth and evolution of our community;

  • Promote research of The Trager® Approach and Mentastics® movement education;

  • Maintain communication between members with other organizations that value the principles of The Trager® Approach and Mentastics® movement education; and

  • Perform prudent and necessary business and legal functions to maintain organizational viability for execution of our purposes.

The United States Trager Association’s mission includes:

  • supporting and encouraging the expanding use and recognition of The Trager® Approach® and Mentastics® movement education in the United States;

  • maintaining supporting and enforcing professional standards of practice and instruction in the USA in accordance with the standards of Trager® International; and

  • developing, coordinating and regulating the teaching of The Trager® Approach® and Mentastics® movement education in the USA.
