A Level 5 Class*

December 3-5, 2019, Puerto Morelos, Mexico with Bill and Gabriela Scholl

We are delighted to offer the PERFECT excuse to spend a week or two on the Caribbean Sea, in a lovely little fi shing village! White sand beaches, beautiful views, great food and three days of experiencing how waves, water and warm sand supported Dr. Milton Trager to deepen his (and our) work.

You can fly into Cancun airport and travel 30 minutes south by van or bus to the village of Puerto Morelos. There are many fl ights into Cancun airport from all over the world.

Bill and Gabriela have been vacationing here each year for the last 10 years. Martina St. Amand, Trager practitioner and our class organizer, lives and works in Puerto Morelos, She can arrange your housing and transportation to and from the airport.

The class will be held both in Martina’s studio (a ten minute walk to the center of the village) and on the beach (a two minute walk). We intend to make time each day for play, relaxation and meals together as desired.

Costs of the training: The 3 day class is US $450. This includes tuition and materials. A deposit of $225 will guarantee your place in the class. Balance is due by November 1, 2019.

A unique, neuromuscular approach to body and movement re-patterning.

This CE course also serves as a post-graduate requirement after Certification in the Trager® Approach. You’ll deepen your experience of both Table-work and Movement Mentastics through demonstrations and supervised practice. Trager® is a valuable approach for anyone who wants to elevate awareness in themselves and their clients.

  • Consolidate your gains as a certified Practitioner.

  • Increase skills developed in certification process.

  • Deepen skills at communication, movement and muscle re-patterning.

  • Deepen your capacity to live in presence in work and in life.

While the following beneficial effects have been reported, Trager is not a substitute for traditional medical care:

  • Improved balance and decreased spasticity

  • Dissolution of internalized effects of trauma in the body

  • Greater ease and joy of movement with decrease of pain

  • Deeper feelings of personal integration and peace and decreased anxiety

Trager® tablework consists of deep, fluid rocking movements (oscillations) of muscles and joints combined with compression and gentle traction. This feeds into the nervous system resulting in dramatic muscular relaxation, along with feelings of lightness, freedom, and flexibility. The client is also shown simple movements called Mentastics which helps integrate the profound changes in the body.

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Increase application of Trager principles through technique and movement suggestions on additional areas of the body.

  • Demonstrate further development of mindful attention in Trager and other related modalities.

  • Effect deep relaxation and central nervous system regulation in the receiver.
