Mentastics: Somatic Foundations of Presence, Touch, and Movement

Join Roger Tolle in Virginia Beach, VA for a 4-day, 24 hour Mentastics class. This is an immersive exploration of the Somatic Foundations of Presence, Touch, and Movement. Set near the expansive beauty of the Atlantic Ocean, this gathering invites participants into a living inquiry of ease, connection, support, and embodied awareness.

Through guided movement explorations, dynamic imagery, intentional touch, and focused presence, participants will deepen their capacity to sense, listen, and respond to the intelligence of the living body. Open to bodyworkers, movement practitioners, healthcare professionals, and anyone curious about embodied experience, this workshop offers practical tools for personal exploration as well as professional practice.

This 4-day, 24-hour workshop fulfills the Mentastics requirement for the Trager Certification Training Program and offers experienced practitioners a rich opportunity to revisit foundational principles with renewed depth and perspective.

How might movement feel if it were lighter? Easier? More connected?

For those new to Trager, the class offers a welcoming and experiential introduction to the approach. For practitioners and students who have already completed Mentastics training, it provides an opportunity to return to the foundations and discover them again. Many experienced practitioners find that each return reveals something new: fresh language, deeper perception, greater confidence in guiding movement exploration with their clients, and a renewed sense of play, curiosity, and possibility.
