Trager Level 1 is the first of 3 levels of training in a comprehensive, integrative training program to become a skilled, somatic educator and therapist. The training consists of experiential movement explorations, demonstrations and structured hands-on practices for learning and embodying the life-enhancing teachings of Dr. Milton Trager. Included in the training is a basic understanding of the current research of neuroplasticity , including anatomy and physiology This course is divided into two 4-day weekends, Level 1A and LEVEL 1B a month apart, giving plenty of time to integrate your new skills for self-care and self-development to share with those you live and work with.

Stabilizing the core of this work is the movement practice Dr. Trager called Mentastics, coined from the words ‘mental’ and ‘gymnastics.’ Guided, active and passive movement elicits a state of lightness, freedom, and grounded connection. A sense of calm aliveness is enhanced through reflex responsiveness. In class, we will work with our partners standing and sitting, and at the table in supine, prone and basic side lying positions. The heart of Dr. Trager’s genius rests in what he called ‘hook up’, a state of mind that is open, curious, present, and peaceful. Students will receive an electronic copy of the Trager Professional Handbook and other resources.

Instructor: Judy Fasone, RN, is a solo Instructor for Trager International and a Board-Certified Nurse Health and Wellness Coach. Judy has been in private practice for 30 years, integrating somatic and functional medicine approaches to wellness. Judy’s personal and private practice focuses on self-care as health care. Pre requisites: Prior to attending the training all participants must either (a) attend a Trager Introductory Workshop and receive one Trager session, or (b) receive 2 Trager sessions. No other requirements needed. Lay and professionals welcome. You may want to become a Trager Practitioner or simply help yourself to a more joyful and pain free life!

Tuition: $1100, due by Sep 18 (includes two-year Student membership dues for the United States Trager Association). Payment plans available.
